On Wednesday 14th January 2026, we held our first When Alice Sleeps Colour & Create session at Birmingham Children’s Hospital in the main outpatients area, open to all the children and parents (and staff!).
We know how powerful creativity can be, helping kids build confidence, skills and simply have fun together. Sharing that small joy with the unbelievably brave and positive families in the hospital feels very special.
Birmingham Children’s Hospital and its charity do phenomenal work every day, creating bright moments even in the toughest times. We’re honoured to support them. 💛 If you’d like to support the amazing work of Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity, please consider donating, sharing, or simply spreading the love, there's never 'enough' support for local charities like them; every little helps.

A huge thank you to all the families (and brilliant staff!) who helped colour in their giant When Alice Sleeps poster…. proof that a little creativity can make a big bright difference!
As always, the best part of CREATE Club is you. Your enthusiasm, encouragement and love for the arts shine through every session.
Why Create Club matters:
When Alice Sleeps: CREATE Clubs are seasonal pop-up creative events where children come to draw, colour and express themselves while parents relax, engage and enjoy the cosy atmosphere with them. By hosting our sessions in warm, inclusive spaces, we hope our sessions inspire families to colour, create and share meaningful moments and conversations together.
Sign up to our mailing list to stay connected and be the first to hear about our next CREATE CLUB sessions. We can’t wait to have some colouring fun together!
Stay bright and well,
The When Alice Sleeps Team
