Children Arts Week 2023

Whoop whoop whoop, Children's Art Week starts today, 3 weeks of arty and creative fun to inspire kids and grown-ups to get CREATING 🥳🎨 (29th June - 19th July)

Join us as we dive into our collection of creative & engaging WAS activities with useful resources to provide opportunities for children, young people and families to participate. Here at WHEN ALICE SLEEPS (WAS), we’re 100% fuelled by all things artsy and creative! If it wasn’t for the visual arts & design we wouldn’t be able to do what we do as professionals, or able run our business to help and inspire others/businesses with our expertise.

Each week starting from today (29th June); Alice and friends have a different theme of activities and challenges for you and the whole family:

• Week 1 🌍 - The Natural World

• Week 2 🌱- Connecting across generations

• Week 3 📚 - Literacy and creative writing

To join in on the arty challenges & fun with us, simply, sign-up to our Big Dreamer’s Club to discover weekly creative activities straight to your inbox. You'll be emailed this week's printables after signing up. Let’s appreciate the beauty of creating things TOGETHER.

Our first set of activities focuses on 'The Natural World' – using our free downloadable templates and resources; learn to make a paper windmill with us ( a great tool to help teach little ones about the wind! Hold the windmill in your hand and swish it around. It should rotate on the pin. Take your windmill outside on a breezy day and see it whirl like crazy!

Then let's go on a Rainbow Hunt and create an amazing collage from all our colourful finds, plus, we have lots of colouring in fun to keep everyone entertained.

Don’t forget to share with us your little one’s masterpieces and how you all get on 🎨 ~ Please tag @whenalicesleeps so that we can see your posts. Let’s learn about art and keep each other inspired.
